(and why trusting your gut matters more than the agenda)

Earlier this month I immersed myself in five days of Mindvalley University 2025 — a transformational gathering where personal growth, entrepreneurship, and spiritual practice collide. Part conference, part festival, part family reunion, MVU brings together people from around the world who are committed to growth, community, and living with purpose.
Across the five days, I had the chance to learn from a spectrum of speakers and experiences — from business leaders to spiritual teachers, from practical productivity hacks to esoteric explorations.
What stood out most were five key lessons:
Authenticity is the real currency.
Time is the ultimate ROI.
Stories create connection.
Movements matter more than products.
Trim fear, not your dreams.
And woven through it all, one deeper personal reminder: trust your gut, even when the agenda tells you otherwise.
I came home with a notebook full of insights, tools, and reflections. Rather than keep them private, I wanted to share the lessons that shifted me most — the ones I’ll be carrying forward in my work, my family life, and the spaces I hold for others.
1. Authenticity is the Real Currency
Day 1 began with a deep dive into authenticity: what blocks it, and what it unlocks.
We hide our truth by people-pleasing, seeking approval, or playing roles that don’t belong to us. But authenticity is simply making your soul visible to the world. When we live from that place, we no longer bend ourselves for acceptance — we conduct the orchestra of our own lives.
It takes courage — sometimes just 20 seconds at a time — to step into that. But the reminder was clear: rejection stings, regret hurts more.
💡 Reflection for you: Where are you still performing a role, rather than conducting your own orchestra?
2. Time is the Ultimate ROI
On Day 2, the focus shifted to productivity and focus. Where do businesses leak the most time? Communication, planning, and resources.
Optimizing return on time means batching ideas, documenting so knowledge becomes an asset, and building systems that save energy. And beneath all the hacks was this: conviction holds steady even when confidence wobbles.
💡 Reflection for you: What’s one boundary around your time that could create exponential freedom?
3. Stories Create Connection
Day 3 explored storytelling, podcasting, and marketing. People remember emotions, not data.
The BINGE framework stood out: Bring attention to pain → Insert emotional story → Name the pain again → Give a way out → Engage action.
Stories aren’t about reaching everyone — they’re about reaching the right people and building trust.
💡 Reflection for you: What story could you share today that might spark recognition or relief in someone else?
4. Movements Matter More than Products
Day 4 asked: What echo in your heart does the world need to hear?
Great companies aren’t just products — they’re movements that align values, culture, and story. Marketing is oxygen, and stories make ideas stick 22x more than facts.
Your unique edge often comes from combining two passions or skills that only you can merge.
💡 Reflection for you: What’s your unique edge — that unlikely combination that only you could bring?
5. Trim Fear, Not Your Dreams
The final day reminded me that the universe doesn’t hand us results — it hands us the curriculum.
We must stop trimming dreams to fit fears. Instead, get clear on the what and why, and trust that the how will reveal itself. Boundaries around work, family, and energy are the foundations for sustainable success.
💡 Reflection for you: Where are you shrinking your dream, when what’s really needed is shrinking the fear?

Trust the Gut Over the Agenda
A personal lesson: at MVU there were always three sessions running — Visionary (business), Insights (spiritual), and Workshops (experiential). Twice, I let my head overrule my gut, choosing business keynotes over spiritual practices.
When I finally followed my instinct — slipping into the end of an astral travel meditation or realizing I’d missed a powerful breathwork session — I was reminded: intuition always knows.
The personal growth sessions were just as impactful, if not more, than the business ones.
Next time, I’ll trust my gut.

Leading, Assisting & Receiving at Mindvalley University
One of the highlights was being able to contribute:
🌕 Full Moon in Aquarius Ceremony — leading a women’s circle to embody the asto energies of this specific transit
🌬️ Breathwork + Live Music — assisting and co-holding space with Alsu & Ravi Ramona
🍫 Cacao Ceremony & Ecstatic Dance — supporting and receiving in a stunning venue.
These experiences deepened my confidence as a space holder and reminded me of the sacred balance: sometimes we lead, sometimes we assist, sometimes we simply receive.
Whole-Life Learning
This year, I also brought my kids along. Their school, Learn Life, led the kids’ programming at the event — which meant they got to experience education beyond the classroom (and the beach): meeting new people from around the world, engaging with different cultures, and even listening to some of the incredible speakers.
It was a beautiful reminder that growth doesn’t belong to one box — not business, not spirituality, not academics. It belongs to the whole of life. And when our children get to witness that integration, they learn it’s possible for them too.
In Closing
Five days. Hundreds of notes. And one truth weaving through it all: the future belongs to those who are both brave and clear. Brave enough to show their soul, tell their story, and stretch into possibility. Clear enough to know what they stand for, where their time goes, and what they’re calling in.
For me, Mindvalley U 2025 was a dance between family, growth, community, and contribution. I left feeling full, aligned, and ready for the next chapter.
And yes — I’ll be back next year. This time, in Estonia. 🌿
